Entitled <em>It’s the end of the world, baby!,</em> this year’s Campari Calendar takes its inspiration from the hypothetical prediction that, according to ancient Mayan culture, the world as we know it will end on December 21<sup>st</sup>, 2012. Various century-old prophecies have predicted the world may end on numerous occasions. However, all predictions have fortunately been abandoned as these dates have passed without incident, and we have continued to revel.  In this year’s calendar, Campari takes these doomsday theories and juxtaposes them with a “Toast to Life!” as presented in a series of powerful, awe inspiring photos starring Hollywood actress and supermodel, <a href="http://www.millaj.com/">Milla Jovovich</a> (<em>The Three Musketeers</em>).<span id="more-878"></span> </p>
<p>This year’s 13 calendar images, captured by contemporary French photographer <a href="http://www.florencemoll.com/dimitri-daniloff">Dimitri Daniloff</a><strong>,</strong> are set to take the audience on a stunning visual voyage. The calendar showcases Campari’s latest female protagonist in vivid shots, as she encounters hypothetical scenes on how many have predicted the world could end, including <em>Global Warming, Drought </em>and<em> Ice Age</em>.   In the striking photos, Milla responds to these frightening hypothetical calamities with a counter view &#8211; instead of cowering in fear, she focuses on celebrating life by raising a toast of Campari’s magnificent red aperitif. </p>
<p>Posing in over-the-top couture including Walter Steiger, Yann Weber and Swarovski, Jovovich  captivates us, exuding a determined attitude and evoking the power within all of us.  The highly stylized images are sure to capture the eye, as well as the imagination. </p>
<p>Milla Jovovich marks a return to female stars for the Campari Calendar, following last year’s first male protagonist, <a href="http://www.camparigroup.com/en/press_media/image_gallery/campari_calendar_2011_download.jsp">Benicio Del Toro</a>. <p><strong>Milla Jovovich: Biography</strong></p>
<p>Milla Jovovich has successfully established herself as a highly regarded, international model and actress.  Jovovich has transitioned effortlessly to a full time actress, starring in over two dozen films. At the age of eleven, Jovovich was spotted by photographer Richard Avedon, who featured her in Revlon&#8217;s “Most Unforgettable Women in the World” advertisements. <p>Born in 1970, Dimitri Daniloff discovered his love for photography by chance while studying for a science degree when a friend gave him a camera as a gift. &#8220;To me, it was a revelation,&#8221; Daniloff remembers fondly, and it took him just one day of experimenting with the camera to discover his great passion for photography. He immediately quit his studies and started training in photography. On completion of his apprenticeship he started work as a photographer&#8217;s assistant, with the role seeing him travelling throughout Europe and the United States, before becoming an independent photographer in 1998.</p>
<p> Dimitri is obsessed with living in the now and pre-empting the future and his “Cubism” series demonstrates this futuristic approach, aiming to exceed the limits of the image, to reinvent and to push the boundaries. His creativity involves erudite distortions and manipulations, which have allowed him to build notoriety in the contemporary photographic world. Daniloff has adapted this digital aesthetic to foster a renewal in advertising photography, which he believes has been in crisis since the beginning of the 21<sup>st</sup> century. He is constantly working to find another subterfuge to dazzle people with. The Frenchman won a Gold Lion in Cannes 2003 with a Playstation campaign and was exhibited by the Museum of Les Arts Décoratifs, Le Louvre, Paris representing the new generation of photographers.<strong> </strong></p>

<p><strong>NEW ORLEANS (July 29, 2011) </strong>— <a href="http://www.campari.com/">Campari</a>®, the legendary one-of-a-kind red spirit, today announced the creation of “The World’s Largest Negroni.”  The massive 30-gallon cocktail – nearly 1,000 individual drinks – was authentically made of equal parts Campari, gin and sweet vermouth on July 21 at a marquee event of Tales of the Cocktail.  Approximately 400 cocktail enthusiasts gathered to witness and taste the grand libation, which celebrated “The Year of the Negroni” and was presented in a handcrafted ice vessel.  The high-spirited event was orchestrated by Master Mixologist Francesco Lafranconi and held at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in New Orleans’ French Quarter.  The monumental drink will be submitted for possible inclusion in the next edition of “The Guinness Book of World Records.”<span id="more-828"></span></p>
<p>In addition to the concocting of the world’s largest Negroni, noted Italian bartenders from around the globe flew in to make their own highly distinctive Negroni variations at the event using fresh juices, rare Italian liqueurs and Prosecco sparkling wine.  In homage to the original Negroni creator, Count Camillo Negroni, the bartenders dressed up in period outfits to resemble him and donned aristocratic handlebar mustaches for added flair.</p>
<p>Luca Picchi, the author of the first book ever written on the history of the Negroni titled, “On the Footprints of Count Negroni,” presented the Classic Negroni.  Picchi is also the current bar manager of Caffé Rivoire in Florence, Italy.</p>

<p><strong>Milla Jovovich: Biography</strong></p>
<p>Milla Jovovich has successfully established herself as a highly regarded, international model and actress.  Jovovich has transitioned effortlessly to a full time actress, starring in over two dozen films. <p>Born in 1970, Dimitri Daniloff discovered his love for photography by chance while studying for a science degree when a friend gave him a camera as a gift. &#8220;To me, it was a revelation,&#8221; Daniloff remembers fondly, and it took him just one day of experimenting with the camera to discover his great passion for photography. He immediately quit his studies and started training in photography. <p>Dimitri is obsessed with living in the now and pre-empting the future and his “Cubism” series demonstrates this futuristic approach, aiming to exceed the limits of the image, to reinvent and to push the boundaries. His creativity involves erudite distortions and manipulations which have allowed him to build notoriety in the contemporary photographic world.</p>
<p>Daniloff has adapted this digital aesthetic to foster a renewal in advertising photography which he believes has been in crisis since the beginning of the 21<sup>st</sup> century. He is constantly working to find another subterfuge to dazzle people with.</p>
<p>The Frenchman won a Gold Lion in Cannes 2003 with a Playstation campaign and is exhibited by the Museum of Les Arts Décoratifs, Le Louvre, Paris representing the new generation of photographers.</p>

<p>Galleria Campari is located in the 1904 liberty house of via Gramsci, Sesto San Giovanni. This building, formerly the first production plant established by Davide Campari, son of Gaspare, the founder of the company, has been refurbished and enlarged in 2009 by the architect Mario Botta to house the new headquarters. The decision to choose Sesto San Giovanni as the site for Galleria Campari is explained by the historic heritage of both the company and of the municipality.</p>

<p>Galleria Campari occupies two floors; the first is devoted to the Campari experience, while the upper floor hosts a temporary exhibition open until June 18, 2010, about a great author of Campari&#8217;s communication, Fortunato Depero. Curated by Marina Mojana and Ada Masoero, the exhibition displays around fifty original India inks Fortunato Depero created between 1927 and 1931 for his book ‘Numero Unico Futurista’ (published by the artist from the Trentino region as a homage to Davide Campari), in addition to some works of the same artist belonging to private and public collections.</p>
<p>The Galleria is a collaboration of AP Consulting, under the supervision of Project Director Armando Peres, and Artistic Director Marina Mojana. They were assisted by Exhibition Project Manager Paolo Maria Fumagalli, and Cogitanz, the company in charge of the interactive design project.</p>
<p>Galleria Campari will open to the public starting March 23 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. <p>For the initiative, Campari selected artists who had already participated in some of the world’s most prestigious art exhibitions, from the Venice Biennale and the Bienal de São Paulo, to several art shows at the most renowned art organizations such as the MoMA, the Guggenheim in New York, the Moderna Museet in Stockholm and the Kunsthalle in Basel.  Campari gave these artists the task of delivering a message that goes beyond the language of art and the end result is three different but complementary labels that together create an exclusive collection that touches upon a variety of facets from the brand’s rich history.<strong> </strong></p>
<p><a href="http://pr.skyyspirits.com/wp-admin/#avaf"><span style="color: #0000ff;">avaf</span></a>, an art collective self-described as “nomads,” presents an extravagant and hybrid artwork; a typical example of their style. Their interpretation translated into a strong and independent female image, a cross-breed between the jazz singer Nina Simone and the Egyptian queen Nefertiti: “<em>We wanted to enrich the Campari female world,”</em> explains avaf, “<em>to create something like a goddess, an icon.</em>” Like Campari, avaf’s identity is a secret to almost the entire world; Campari’s recipe has been a highly-guarded secret since its creation, known only to those few involved in the production process, and this collective’s identity is also shrouded in mystery &#8211; only one spokesman appears in public and is always disguised by masks created by the artists of the group. </p>
<p><a href="http://pr.skyyspirits.com/wp-admin/#beecroft"><span style="color: #0000ff;">Vanessa Beecroft</span></a>, a well-known artist celebrated for her performances and her watercolours, also expressed her own passion for Campari by focusing on the female image, coherent with a frequent theme in Beecroft’s work that uses women’s prototypes to project the artist’s own image. The artist imagined an ethereal female character wrapped in a fantastic head of hair, red, like the glass of Campari she is holding. “A symbol of beauty, elegance and charm, gifts that Campari has been giving to the public for 150 years,” describes Beecroft. </p>
<p>Artist <a href="http://pr.skyyspirits.com/wp-admin/#rehberger"><span style="color: #0000ff;">Tobias Rehberger</span></a> rounds out the artistic trio, bringing his neo-rationalist world to life by means of digital design. Rehberger’s Campari label is built around the concept of a “magic potion,&#8221; a “bewitched beverage” emphasized by the bright colours employed in his art work. “My work is abstract and it is open to various interpretations, like Campari. Similarly to my work, Campari is like no other existing drink: it is unique and recognizable even when mixed in cocktails. My works are alike for their uniqueness,” says Rehberger. </p>
<p>The Campari bottles with the artistic label will be available in 750 ml and 1 L sizes in selected markets, beginning in late July 2010.<strong> </strong></p>

Utilizing the iPhone’s accelerometer, users are able to recreate a real shaking and pouring sensation while creating a virtual cocktail. <p>“Campari Milano,” Campari’s eleventh calendar, conveys the simple but captivating, modern and sophisticated fascination of places, intriguing moments, and the city’s most absorbing ritual: the aperitif. In this series of dramatic images, Campari takes center stage, infusing passion into every picture. Olga Kurylenko follows in the footsteps of actresses including Salma Hayek, Eva Mendes, and Jessica Alba, renowned internationally for their beauty and distinctive allure.</p>
<p>Olga Kurylenko’s journey takes her from the historic Tram 609, as Milan reveals itself to us, creating the setting for every shot. Campari and Milan are seen through the gaze of Olga Kurylenko, and like the Campari woman, Milan shows and hides itself, winks and withdraws, daring us to continue following her.</p>
<p>Our muse is observed by men won over by her bold character accompanying her through the city streets. Milan’s fashion studios, apartments and most elegant private gardens, are some of the most symbolic spots for aperitifs, including the fountain in Piazza Cairoli, Sforza Castle, the historic dairy in via Vigevano, the center of bohemian Milan, and the central station.</p>

<p>Olga Kurylenko came to international fame as the character “Camille” in the most recent James Bond film Quantum of Solace, following her success in films such as Paris Je T’Aime, The Ringfinger, Max Payne and Hitman. She returns to the big screen in 2010 in the action adventure film Centurion, by Neil Marshall, and in the leading role in the Franco-Israeli thriller Kirot. She also will be seen starring in the role of “Ildiko” in Roland Joffe’s latest film There Be Dragons, currently filming in Argentina. Her future projects also include a leading role in an untitled Terrence Malick project.</p>

<p>In keeping with its support of emerging contemporary artists, Campari chose the young up-and-coming Italian photographer Simone Nervi to immortalise the beautiful Olga Kurylenko. Judges included industry veteran Steven Oliver, Danny Ronen, creator of the BIT for Tasting Panel, and Joey Altman, celebrated chef and host of Bay Café as well as the headline entertainment for SF Chefs. Food. Wine. Urban BBQ with his Back Burner Blues Band.</span></p>

Food. Wine. August 6 and 7, 2009. The two top mixologists from these two judgings will go head to head on the final day of SF Chefs. Food. Wine. to receive the title of Best Cocktail of SF Chefs. Food. Wine. 2009. Each of the rounds in the tent will include a secret ingredient to be unveiled live to the contestants, so the challenge is even greater.</p>
